The Troop 8059 Leader Team

This afternoon, Troop 8059's leaders met and put together some pretty awesome plans for this upcoming Girl Scout year!  We have an absolutely fabulous group of leaders.

First, I would like to introduce myself.  I am Rebecca Stephenson.  I am a stay-at-home mom with two adorable and ornery children, one of which is a Girl Scout Brownie.  This will be my second year as a Girl Scout and I am loving it.  I still have a lot to learn, but I am having a blast doing it!

Mrs. Julie Parks is one of our assistant leaders.  She is a nurse and mother of 2 adorable and angelic kids, one of which is a Girl Scout Brownie.  She is The World's Greatest Cookie Mom...EVER!  Without her, we would all probably drown in a big mess of cookie order forms, money envelopes and thin mints.  We are also blessed by her wonderful knowledge of all things Scouts, her super organizing abilities and her huge loving heart!

Mrs. Sandy Smith is another assistant leader for our troop.  She is a stay-at-home mom with 4 lovely children, the youngest being  a Girl Scout Brownie.  Mrs. Sandy  always keeps our troop lighthearted and eager to try new things.  We are blessed by her eagerness to plan and coordinate events and activities, ability to de-stress a sometimes confused and frazzled rookie leader and her gift of sharing joy and smiles.

Mrs. Nicole McKittrick is the newest of our assistant leaders.  She is also a stay-at-home mama of 2 beautiful children, and her oldest will be a Girl Scout Daisy this year.  Nicole also volunteers for the Doniphan County EMS as an EMT, as well as a Cubby Teacher for the AWANA program at the Troy First Baptist Church.  She will be leading the Daisy girls through their journey program as well as working with them to earn their petal badges.  I am so excited to experience the blessings she bestows upon our troop this year!
