Forever Green Project

Girl Scouts Forever Green 100th Anniversary Take Action Project is a national effort of girls leading their families, schools, and communities in improving the environment and protecting natural resources.

Our council will be participating in the “Reduce Plastic Waste” project during the month of February.

Our troop is going to work to challenge our teachers and parents to switch from disposable plastic water bottles to refillable water bottles.  We will begin this project on January 17th and end February 21st.

At our February 21st meeting, we are going to make reusable t-shirt bags and hold a plastic bag drive at our local grocery stores.  We will put a collection box at the Highland and Troy grocery stores, as well as a box of the reusable bags we have made.
Please bring old t-shirts to the February 21st meeting.
