On March 12th we celebrate Girl Scout's 101st Birthday! Every year Girl Scouts celebrate Girl Scout Week the entire week that the birthday falls in. This year 8059 girls can earn the Girl Scout Week patch by completing at least one of the activities for each day below. Check the activity you complete, sign the bottom and return it to Mrs. Rebecca. Have Fun!!!
Sunday: Girl Scout Sunday
- Wear your Girl Scout uniform to church. (You will earn your Girl Scout Sunday patch for this.)
- Do a kind act for a neighbor.
- Do a chore for your brother or sister.
- Take 101 cents (doesn't have to be all change) up to the library and donate it.
- Make a donation to the local DCSW.
- Donate some time to a local nursing home. Visit with some residents, maybe even read them a story.
- Wear your unform to school.
- Bring a friend to the Girl Scout Meeting.
- Take a cupcake to your teacher as a treat.
- Write a thank you note to a Girl Scout troop or service unit leader.
- Write a thank you note to your teacher.
- Write a thank you note to your parents.
- Do 1 random act of kindness.
- Draw or paint a beautiful picture and mail it to a soldier overseas.
- Do something to help someone without being asked.
- Visit www.earthhour.org and learn more about Earth Hour. www.earthhour.org
- Pick up some litter - Make the World a Better Place!
- Take a 5 minute shower.
- Visit the Girl Scout website for girls only and play! http://forgirls.girlscouts.org
- Go to the library and find a book about Girl Scouts or Juliette Low
- Go online and do research about Juliette Gordon Low.
